Niyonshuti Kevine is a quiet and humble girl. While in class, Kevine loves drawing and coloring.  Outside classroom, she can be seen playing on the swings. Her favorite color is yellow, and she loves hens.   Kevine has one younger sister and one older brother who attends a local public school. Kevine's father abandoned the family when she was very young.  His whereabouts are unknown.  Kevine comes from a very poor family.  Her mother works on construction sites as a porter or helps with gardening to earn an income to feed her family.  She also serves in the farming fields at Hope Haven as an alternative way of helping to pay school fees.   Kevine and her family live with her grandparents as her mother is unable to afford to pay rent for a home of their own.
