Ruth's favorite subject in school is science, and she dreams of becoming a doctor in future. During her free time, Ruth likes playing local games like hide and seek; she also likes skipping a rope. Her favorite color is pink. Ruth comes from a family of both parents and two younger sisters. One of  her sisters, Niyigena Rosine, also attends Hope Haven. Ruth’s father works as a security guard at a  school, while her mother has no job. Ruth’s mother comes to school to serve in the field as an opportunity to pay school fees. The family stays in their own mud house around the school community.
