Stessy loves drawing and coloring in the classroom. On the playground, she enjoys running with her friends and playing on the swings. Her favorite animal is a hen. She lives with her mother and one older brother who attends a nearby public school. Her father is rarely around and provides little to no support to the family. Her mother is the sole provider. She works in the community doing any kind of work available, such as gardening and construction. She earns very little money making it difficult to provide food and pay rent for the double room mud house they live in. Stessy's mother also occasionally serves at Hope Haven in the farming fields as a way to help cover school fees.
