Yves has 4 siblings - 2 brothers and 2 sisters. He is the firstborn, and the only one at Hope Haven, where he started in the fall of 2022 when the secondary campus opened. He has both of his parents at home. They work as subsistence farmers. His siblings attend government schools close to where they live in the Northern province. It takes him about 3 hours to travel home on the bus.  In his free time, he likes to play football and watch movies.  His favorite food is rice with chicken.
