Mutabazi Jean Baptista is a clever and happy boy. While in class, Baptista loves learning numbers and coloring. His dream is to be a doctor. Outside the classroom, Baptista and his friends can be seen playing sport with a ball. Baptista is the second last born in the family of girls and three boys. Two of Baptista's siblings, Uwimpuhwe Devota and Mutabazi Thierry, come to Hope Haven as well. Baptista comes from a poor family with parents who rent land and cultivate food for income. The mother also works randomly in Hope Haven's farming fields as an alternative way of paying school fees. The family owns a small mud house that is about 4 kilometers from Hope Haven.
