Dario is a sharp and happy boy. While in class, Dario enjoys reading and writing. Outside the classroom, Dario can be seen either playing with a ball or playing on swings. He also enjoys helping his mom wash clothes while at home. His favorite color is blue, and a dog is his favorite animal. Dario live with both parents, one older sister, Uwamahoro Placidia, and one older brother, Kwizera Messi,  who both  attend Hope Haven. Dario comes from a poor family where neither of his parents has a profession.  His father normally works as a porter at the local market or any other labor available to earn a living. His mother also works labor jobs, and serves in Hope Haven farming fields as an alternative way of paying school fees. The family lives a dilapidated mud house which they own.
