Shamimu has 2 brothers and 5 sisters. She is the last born of her family and the only one at Hope Haven where she started in the fall of 2022 when the secondary campus was completed. Three of her older siblings are still in school at other locations.  Both of her parents are at home. Her mother works at a hair salon.  They live in the Southern province where it takes 2 hours for her to travel home via bus at the end of each term.  In her free time, she likes to read novels.  Her favorite food is casava.
